I was a former street child and school dropouts. Rescue Africa Uganda rehabilitated and sponsored my education, and I am now enrolled at Kampala International University. I am forever grateful and attribute all these milestones to Rescue Africa Uganda to give me a brighter future through education. I call upon well-wishers and donors to support the Rescue Africa Uganda initiatives in fulfilling its mission of “Help for Self Reliance”.

From a Hopeless Primary School Dropout to a University Student...

When I completed Primary Leaving Examination, I failed to join secondary school because my parents could not afford to pay school fees to further my education. To keep me busy, my parents suggested I start vending Avocadoes along the street. I met Pastor Manase, Director of Rescue Africa Uganda, who helped sponsor my education and other school requirements throughout my education level and am currently a 2nd Year student enrolled at Kyambogo University. I call upon well-wishers and donors to support the Rescue Africa Uganda initiatives in fulfilling its mission of “Help for Self Reliance”.

I call upon good Samaritans and donors to generously donate towards the True African Uganda Causes.

Homeless Street Child to a responsible Person...

Pastor Manase rescued me from the street in Bwindi trading centre after dropping from primary six in Kisoro. He nurtured and took care of me just like his son. I was enrolled in the school and later graduated as a primary teacher. Pastor Manase bought land and constructed a house for my family and me. I am happily married with three children. From a Homeless Child to a Responsible Adult

I am from Kiboga, present-day Kyankwanzi District; however, I found my way to Kampala, where I resided in the streets. I Want to extend thanks to my mentor, Pastor Manase, who took me out of the street where I was living. At the time, I had completed the primary leaving examination, where I had scored 11 points. Pastor Manase took me along to Bwindi, where he enrolled back to school and met all my personal needs. I completed A' level and later enrolled at Kampala University, where I graduated recently. I am now happily married and blessed with two children. Currently, I work at Bwindi Heritage High School as the assistant administrator.

Our grassroots projects are keeping gorillas safe from poaching and habitat loss. We also work with local communities to ensure humans and gorillas can live peacefully side-by-side for generations to come. Gorillas are now on the brink of extinction. We have often donated to help fund ranger patrols to keep gorillas safe from poachers’ snares and go towards funding our frontline conservation and development projects.
